Four Way Speech Contest
In Rotary, the basis of all we do is based off of this four way test that states:
Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
We hold four way speech contest for high school students who are interested and dedicated to the culture and mission of the club.
Congratulations to the first place winner: Jayne McGovern and the 2nd place winner Shammah Joseph.
Both of these ladies are from A Tech and Jayne received an award of $100 while Shammah received an award of $75.

Santa Clothes
What a blessing it was to help out another year at the Santa Clothes event. Rotarians and other clubs alike went to JC Pennys at 7am to get set up for the big day! When this event first started the spending budget was $100. This year each child was given a budget of $250. The smiles on the kid’s faces were absolutely priceless. Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer, we will see you next year.

Las Vegas West begins a new year
In what is likely to be looked back upon as one of the most trying years of our history, Las Vegas West began a new Rotary year today under the incredible leadership of President Tom Novotny, with a little help from his grandson Bryson. In an opening speech that reminded us that we are indeed the “small, mighty club that does,” President Tom set the tone for the year - we do not give up and we will continue to help the youth in our three adopted schools against all odds. To that end, the club launched a GoFundMe account to help raise funds so we can still provide all of our programming this year. Any donations - big or small - are greatly appreciated!
