On February 5, 2019, Las Vegas West Rotary was privileged to have Don Logan, President/COO of the Las Vegas Aviators, give us an update on the Las Vegas Aviators baseball team and on the Las Vegas Ballpark, now under construction near Downtown Summerlin.

A state-of-the-art Triple-A baseball stadium, Las Vegas Ballpark will feature a wide range of seating options including suites, party zones and decks, a kids’ zone, bars, a show kitchen for celebrity chefs, and a huge triangular pool beyond the outfield wall. The stadium, a joint venture with the Howard Hughes Corporation and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority, will hold 8,300 heat-resistant mesh stadium seats; the entire Ballpark will hold 11-12,000 including all zones.

Don proclaims Las Vegas to be a “Baseball Town” through and through, and he will not be surprised if we will have our own Major League team in 5-10 years. The Las Vegas Ballpark is set to open in about two months, and it will be a welcome addition to the growing sports realm in Las Vegas. Season passes are just about sold out, so get your tickets fast!

We were thrilled to have so many guests attend our luncheon. You are always welcome to join Las Vegas West Rotary for lunch, for fellowship, or at any of our service projects! Contact us today!
